Since the ancestors of this species was around during the time of the dinosaurs, I wanted to convey a feeling that time on the islands has stood still since then. The painting by George Stubbs (1724 - 1806) of The Rhinoceros influenced my choice of lighting and a limited palette of colours.

This painting was selected in the animal section of the 12th International ARC Salon, NY, 2016/2017.
